SK Rent-a-Car (CEO: Shin Jungho, Park Sangwuk) is launching the 'Just One Car' online viral campaign, aimed at breaking the conventional belief that cars must be purchased and guiding consumers toward a more rational and flexible approach to mobility.
SK Rent-a-Car announced on the 26th that it will officially kick off the campaign on the 27th, unveiling the main video through its official YouTube channel and Instagram.
The core message of this campaign is 'All I Need Is Just One Car.' It tells the story — through universally relatable content — of the everyday inconveniences of not having a car and the life-changing difference it makes when you do. Targeting men and women in their 30s who don't own a car or need a second vehicle, the campaign aims to drive organic sharing and virality through emotionally resonant content and addictive music.
The backdrop to this campaign is a growing shift in how consumers perceive cars. As vehicle prices, insurance premiums, and maintenance costs continue to rise, consumers are increasingly valuing usage over ownership. As a result, the assumption that one must buy a car is naturally giving way to a growing preference for using vehicles conveniently on demand. SK Rent-a-Car said the campaign was developed to widely promote new alternatives for car use through the message 'All I Need Is Just One Car,' in step with these evolving consumer trends.
SK Rent-a-Car's strategy is to proactively communicate that rental cars are not just for brief trips to tourist destinations, but a smart mobility option that can be conveniently tailored to each individual's everyday lifestyle. Alongside the campaign, the company is running a prize event worth up to KRW 10 million — including one-month mid-size SUV monthly rental passes (3 winners) and 24-hour short-term rental free-use passes (10 winners) — to provide trial opportunities that expand its touchpoints with new customers who may consider long-term car rental as a viable option in their daily lives.
An SK Rent-a-Car spokesperson said, "We prepared this campaign to let more people know that long-term car rental can be a great alternative to purchasing a vehicle," adding, "We will continue to offer flexible products and services aligned with the changing mobility lifestyle paradigm of our customers."
